Product Care
To ensure optimal benefits and longevity of your Satin Products, it is important you take care of your item accordingly. The purpose of wearing Satin Hair Products are to maintain hairstyles, hair moisture, and promote overall hair retention. Learning and knowing how to care for your bonnet is essential to promoting the life cycle of your beloved Satin Hair Product. Read below for our recommendations on how to care for your Little Rootz Bonnet, Durag or Satin Scarf.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WASH MY BONNET/SCARF?
The frequency of how often you wash your Satin products is dependent on your use of hair products. You should aim to clean your Satin Bonnet or Durag at least every two weeks; however, you would want to modify your wash schedule accordingly if you heavily use styling products. We suggest aligning your Bonnet/Durag wash day to your hair wash schedule. Doing this ensures you are not unintentionally reintroducing products into your child's hair after a wash.
WHAT SHOULD I WASH MY BONNET/SCARF WITH?
We recommend handwashing your Satin product with a gentle soap such as Castile Soap or Detergent. Detergents formulated for sensitive skin are best. Doing this prevents and ensures your child does not experience any irritation or breakouts due to using scented soaps.
